Open Labs was founded in June by 5 initial members, and officially opened at 15-06-2012, with an introduction of the initiative and a party. The second event followed 2 weeks after the opening and focused on Arduino by featuring a presentation into the Albanian public and a movie projection related with the theme.

Our goal is to promote open knowledge, Open and Free Software/Hardware in Albania, initiatives such as Wikipedia and Creative Commons and have a good time doing it. We are a legal self founded non-government/non-profit organization that aims to support and promote initiatives which provide tools that bring knowledge closer to those more in need. who is in albania
