Calgary Protospace Ltd is Calgary's local hackerspace. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to technical innovation and collaborative projects in Calgary and its surrounding areas. Our new industrial space is 2,300 sq ft of your imagination - we want our new membership base to define what projects we undertake. A hackerspace is for anyone that knows a bit of stuff, with a thirst to learn more, and wants to apply their knowledge/learning to cool projects. We envision those projects including (but not limited to):

  • Arduino programming & other electronics
  • lockpicking
  • computer & physical security
  • personal privacy & anti-surveillance
  • rapid prototyping
  • crafting of physical objects (metalwork, woodwork, knitting, etc.)
  • alternative energy
  • cellphone exploration
  • voip usage & research
  • radio communication
  • metal working
  • wood working
  • community building

So give us a shout if you want to learn more about Protospace's current projects and initiatives!

This Hackerspace has a RIPE Atlas
