Foothills Community Workshop is located in the town of Granite Falls, NC in the bottom floor of an old textile mill. We got a great deal on approx. 3600 sq. ft. of space, but had to re-wire it and do a large amount of cleanup. Our current members have expertise in: Machining (both CNC and manual), woodworking, construction, analog electronics, digital electronics, embedded systems, model railroads, rc airplanes, mask making, ham radio, linux, windows, networking, programming and other various topics.

We have a CNC machine shop, woodworking shop with a large CNC router, electronics shop, model shop, model railroad, Ham radio station (K4FCW), office/lounge area, and classroom. A 501(c)(3) is pending.

General meetings are on Saturdays at 3PM and project build meetings are on Tuesdays at 7PM. Standard membership is $35 per month and includes 24/7 access. Guests are welcome at any meeting or anytime someone is at the space.
