Foothills Community Workshop is located in the town of Granite Falls, NC in the bottom floor of an old textile mill. We got a great deal on approx. 3600 sq. ft. of space, but had to re-wire it and do a large amout of cleanup. Our current members have expertise in: Machining (both CNC and manual), woodworking, construction, analog electronics, digital electronics, embedded systems, model railroads, rc airplanes, mask making, ham radio, linux, windows, programming and other various topics.

We have a CNC machine shop, woodworking shop, electronics shop, model shop, model railroad, Ham radio station (K4FCW), office/lounge area, and classroom. A 501(c)(3) has been approved.

General meetings are on Saturdays at 3PM and project build meetings are on Tuesdays at 7PM. Standard membership is $35 per month and includes 24/7 access. Guests are welcome at any meeting or anytime someone is at the space.
