Australia's first Hackerspace![edit]

Hello Everyone!

Here are the essentials:

Membership to the mailing list is open to all!

Why are we here?[edit]

We want to improve our in-person geek shared workspace and general nerd hang-out space for cool things to actually happen. We want community, discussions, and offers of help.

Where are we?[edit]

Our campus, Port Hack, includes 3 buildings on a 3,500m² plot. We have co-working spaces, a general work room, a classroom, a dedicated chemistry Lab, the Boneyard full of scavengable parts, as well as dedicated Woodworking and Metal working rooms and a giant general use warehouse.

What do we do?[edit]

We have people interested in: programming, linux, security, micro-controllers, arduinos, electronics, firmware, software, RC-flying (multicopters and planes), UAV's, cars, mechatronics, robotics, 3D printing, PCB-etching, metal-casting, woodworking, and more... If it can be hacked, we like it!

Anything else?[edit]

I'd encourage you to join the list if you haven't already, and to say hello. We're fairly quiet on-list (at the moment), but the meetings aren't. Our IRC channel also has it's moments.  :-)
