07/01/11 - Moved into our own space!

06/13/11 - Preparing for our move from Gangplank into our own new space in Mesa!

05/26/10 - 501c3 application packet all finished and turned into the IRS last month. Looks like we may be moving to a new location in the future. In the meantime check us out at our current location @ Gangplank HQ. We've acquired a lot of equipment over the last couple months. Memberships are available to help fund this wonderful endeavor.

01/09/10 - Currently working on completing IRS 501c3 application and moved to new location @ Gangplank HQ.

11/08/09 - Our paperwork has been approved and we are now officially a non profit organization in the state of Arizona. We are still working on getting a physical space to use as well as obtaining tax-exempt status.

9/16/09 - Sending in the non-profit paperwork today and building a slew of potato cannons tomorrow. Interested in building one with the group? Get your RSVP into:

ricko@heatsynclabs.org

And check out the write up about it on our blog at the url for our website in the right hand panel. Also, we'll be hosting a Poker Night pretty soon for fundraising. Details on the blog as well. Hope to see you guys there!

9/3/09 - Starting our new meeting format. We now meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month. Meetings will be announced on our website with details as to what we'll be up to. We're meeting tomorrow the 3rd of September at our usual 8pm time. There will be a presentation on Astronomy and a review of the list of project ideas that we brain stormed at the last meeting. See you all there!

8/20/09 - We’ll be hosting our 3rd weekly public Meeting this Thursday at 8pm. We’ll presenting:

1. Some of the locations we’ve found so far.
2. Examples of locations that will not work.
3. Call for Presentations

I heard a couple people were interested in doing impromptu presentations on random topics on Thursday. We’ll also have our lock picking table set up and possibly a small activity with radios. Hope to see a bunch of new faces there! We’ve got the whole lodge to ourselves this week and I hear there’s cake. Whooo!

8/6/09 - Mark your calendars for the 13th of August at 8pm. We're having our 2nd official weekly public meeting and we scored a larger place to meet! At this meeting we will be discussing:

1. The Hacker Space idea, what it means to us and the fun that can be had.
2. What direction we intend to go with the group.
3. Getting started on finding a location to lease/purchase for the HackerSpace.
4. A couple current projects.
5. A means to collaborate on projects while looking for a space.
6. Poll for contacts for legal(non-profit) and accounting expertise.

Snacks, drinks and good company will be provided! See you there!
