Based in Kaunas the Makerspace is open to all kinds of hackers and makers. The space is ready to be used by members, while visitors are welcome to come to our meetings on every Wednesday evening.

Visit us

Meetings take place every Wednesday evening (6:30pm) at the Kaunas Makerspace. It might be a good idea to shoot an email to us beforehand just to be sure.

Fluxus Era

The first place that Kaunas Makerspace called home was at The Ministry of Fluxus in a room the size of an impressive total of 17m². The Makerspace there opened on 16th of July, 2013 and moved out to The Maker Garage at 16th of December of the same year upgrading the size of the space to 36m². While residing at The Ministry the Makerspace saw its' first ten members and a number of completed and started projects.

The Maker Garage Era

Aaah, home sweet home, no matter how sketchy it looks. With a "borrowed" WiFi signal, pimped-out sink with a laser presence-detector, and an old-school wood-burning stove for the cold winter days. It's seen the ultrasound levitation machine (which sounds way bigger than it is), the washing machine massacre (which sounds way cleaner than it was) and, among others, the heated mouse workshop (which sounds awesome any way you look at it). The Maker Garage closed its doors and moved to the biggest area we have had a chance to use ever. Check out the FB page for photos and current activities.
