Northackton is an established group looking for members to help grow the space into something useful for Northants hackers.

We hold regular meetings at the Northampton Society for Model Engineers. Their facilities already encompass a meeting room with seating and benches, as well as 2 machine shops, crammed with lathes and milling machines and other heavy metal bashing equipment. We're slowly building up a stock of the finer tools for soldering and programming and other more techy projects.

We hold 2 main meetings month, one for project work and one for a technical lecture about a subject chosen by our members (and often presented by them too). These fall on the first and third Monday of the month, but full members (£40 a year) to the group are allowed to come down and use the facilities at any time.

We have held several large scale events in the form of ballistics days where many members brought along tennis ball flinging contraptions, all good fun.
