Open Labs was founded in June by 5 initial members, and officially opened at 15-06-2012, with an introduction of the initiative and a party. We are a non-government non-profit organization, based in Albania, that aims to support and promote initiatives which provide open tools that bring knowledge closer to those more in need. Our energy and resources are dedicated to make knowledge a weapon that opens new horizons to children of all ages, organizations, local communities and everyday people like you. We organize weekly events in Tirana.

Active projects right now are: - "We Make It" (a microcontroller starter kit with experiments in Albanian) - "3D printer" set-up - DIY plastic recycle (for the 3D printer) - translation of TED talks in Albanian (starting from September 2012)
