The Hacktory is Philadelphia's first hackerspace. Comprised of hackers and artists, its name is inspired by Andy Warhol's artspace, The Factory. As of October 2012, The Hacktory is operating out of NextFab Studio's space at 3711 Market Street.
The Hacktory is equipped with a kinect, several soldering stations, a workbench with electronic test equipment, a vacuum forming machine, several 3D printers, and a good collection of hand tools, power tools, parts, and materials. Larger tools include a laser cutter, table saw, band saw, and planer.
Open House is every Thursday from 7pm to 9pm.
