United Greenworks is a non-profit organization that is made up of many Hackers from different walks of life who meet by a common goal; to look after the environment by reducing/reusing/repurposing waste and having fun doing it.

Greenwork's members takes old electronics, lawn mowers, bikes, & building materials and repairs them or removes the re-usable parts, and then matches the parts up with people who can use them. This means the parts aren't getting crushed, shipped, sorted, melted down, and sent through the whole manufacturing process again. This is great for the environment, since we're saving a lot of resources as well as removing a lot of waste and industrial processing of old equipment to make it into new items.

This idea has probably been used quite a bit in the Hacking community but we're just throwing a green spin on it to unite many with a common goal.

In Recent News: We now have a space! It is a gutted out Mobile home re-purposed in true Greenworks fashion to become a meeting place and workshop.
