Overview[edit]

Skeemipesa is Estonian electrical/electronics hackerspace. Skeemipesa was founded on 1st of April 2013 by opening of blog http://www.skeemipesa.ee and Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/skeemipesa with articles about electronics, electricity, robotics, etc. Skeemipesa's blog is written in the Estonian language and gives overview of latest developments on electrical and electronics engineering field in Estonia and also worldwide. Skeemipesa is conducting workshops and repair cafes in regular manner in Tallinn, Estonia. Skeemipesa's members take actively part in hardware and software development for innovative start-up companies. As of today Skeemipesa is the largest Estonian hackerspace.

Awards[edit]

Skeemipesa has received several awards during its existance. Skeemipesa's hackerspace concept was chosen to be one of three innovative ideas for improving life standard in Estonia by Estonian Development Fund. Out of 143 ideas proposed to competition, Skeemipesa won yearly scholarship for developing the concept further in June 2014. Skeemipesa has been nominated as best newcomer in the science popularizer awards at 2013 by Estonian Research Council. Estonian Environmental Board nominated Skeemipesa's Repair Cafe events for popularizing recycling in June 2014.

Hardware and software prototype development[edit]

Skeemipesa is offering services for start-up companies in hardware and software development. Skeemipesa members have various skills in electronics, programming, mechatronics and product development that help start-up companies to create their MVP (minimum viable product). Skeemipesa services are available on various payment options. Prototype development can be bought according to price quotations based on initial analysis. Newly founded start-up without enough resources could get MVP development in exchange of share in its equity.

MVP / prototype development helps start-up companies to find additional funding from venture capital firms. It is essential for gaining larger audience among possible consumers. Skeemipesa helps to brainstorm for the best ideas for physical and/or software product creation. Skeemipesa can produce first usable prototypes for idea introduction and take part in latter product development.

Skeemipesa team consists of highly educated engineers, who have lots of partical experience in innovative device and system building. Several of them hold Ph.D. degree. Most engineers have Tallinn University of Technology background. Some of them have studied in other top European technology universities.
